Overview

The shift from single, tethered drones to decentralised autonomous swarms demands a new data-security model. ISR Operations

Drone-captured ISR data — electro-optical, infrared imagery and SAR feeds — is classified defence intelligence. KVault splits each object across distributed nodes, so no single node holds a reconstructable fragment, eliminating single-point exfiltration.

KVault role — AES-256 encryption at ingestion, cryptographic splitting into N configurable shares, distributed across M node clusters. Reconstruction requires an authenticated quorum — data is irrecoverable without both the key and the share topology.

Secure Post-Mission Intelligence Archive

Post-mission raw data — mission logs, sensor data, crew identifiers and target coordinates — constitutes sensitive defence records subject to retention mandates and classification controls. KVault provides cryptographically secured archival with access tied to role and clearance.

Aerial Footage as Court-Admissible Archive

Drone footage used in criminal proceedings must satisfy chain-of-custody and integrity requirements. Unprotected footage on removable media is vulnerable to tampering. KVault secures footage from capture to court submission with cryptographic hash binding at each custody transfer.

KVault role — SHA-256 hash generated at point of capture; encrypted and split at the evidence-management server. Every access creates an immutable audit record. Courtroom reconstruction requires dual-authority authorisation, satisfying chain-of-custody legal standards.

Use Case 04

Operational Security — Covert Operations

Drones deployed in covert anti-terror, anti-narcotics or organised-crime surveillance generate data that, if leaked, endangers operatives and compromises active investigations. Operational data must stay inaccessible — even to unauthorised police personnel — until cleared by investigation leadership.
